I'm trying to figure out how to have a personal blog and one for my primitive dollies - Tattered and Torn Primitives. So far I'm not having very good luck. I'm not going to give up - but I may be bald from tearing my hair out doing this! This is what happens when senior citizens try to use the computer!
My dear brother-in-law was laid off from his job this week. I feel so bad for him. I was laid off earlier this year when the company I was working for just locked the doors and walked away. I've been depressed ever since then so I can't imagine what it would be like for the bread-winner of the family to be in that position. I guess it's different for Patrick (my hubby) because he was able to retire at 52 and get his pension from UPS. I remember how difficult it was for him changing careers at that age but everything has worked out well so far! And it will continue to work out, I refuse to believe that the economy can stay in the cellar forever.
Everyone is in a great mood around here - it finally warmed up and the sun came out. It was a banner day for me because I FINALLY got my hair cut.

- I'm lucky to be living in the heartland of America - rural Nebraska! It's a little slice of heaven. I a wife, a mom, a Nanna, a crafter, a volunteer and so much more. My husband, Pat and I have four children between us. We each brought two into our marriage. Our girls are both nearly 30 years old and our sons are both 28. It was like having two sets of twins when they were growing up. Now they're all grown up and on their own. Our daughter Rachel, is a veternarian and lives in Lake of the Ozarks, MO with her husband, their new baby Sophia and his two daughters. Carley, our other daughter is a nurse in a hospital in Omaha, NE. She and her husband Derik, have two of the most beautiful little girls in the world. Ashley is 7 and Hannah is 18 months. Ben, the older of our boys lives in Kearney, NE with his new wife and their 3 dogs. He's a salesman for a communications company. The baby of the family, Michael, is working very hard in Fire school. Very soon he'll be a member of the Omaha Fire Department.
